Avalon Police Officers Save Seven Young Souls From Imminent Serious Bodily Injury or Death DSG Sykes and Ptlm Featherer responded to the area where they, through a thorough canvassing of the area, found the distraught mother circling a storm drain waving her arms for help. As the officers approached they caught the faint distant voices of her seven youngsters trapped in the storm drain. Thanks to the officers quick thinking, they notified Middlesex Water Co. who were able to rip the storm drain cover off and dramatically saved the seven youngsters. Video attached is the grateful reunion of the mother and her youngsters. Chief Christopher comments that if not for the officers actions, the children would've been stuck until they figured out how to get out on their own. It is important that everyone put down their phones and watch where you're walking, 'cause you never know what lay ahead! Just a little something to brighten up your day
