Warminster Man Charged In Woman's Death In Bensalem Motel

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Authorities allege that a man charged in the murder of his girlfriend in a suburban Philadelphia motel room tried to stage the crime scene to make the death appear a suicide.

Thirty-eight-year-old Joseph McFadden of Warminster is charged with criminal homicide, robbery, theft and evidence tampering in the death of 32-year-old Kristin McNally of Morrisville, who was found dead Tuesday in a room in the Knights Inn in Bensalem.

Investigators said the crime scene was staged to make it appear that the victim took her own life using a telephone cord, but that didn't stand up to further scrutiny. Authorities said the victim died from strangulation and blunt-force trauma.

Court documents don't list an attorney for McFadden and a listed number for him couldn't be found Saturday.
