Warmer With Some Storms

By Justin Drabick

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A high pressure system has drifted of the mid-Atlantic coast today allowing for high temperatures to return above average in the low 80s with mostly sunny skies.  The southerly wind flow will continue to bring in a warmer and humid air mass over the next 24 hours. High temperatures on Tuesday will be well above average in the mid-upper 80s.  The warm and humid air will help fuel some showers and storms during the afternoon and evening.

The threat for an afternoon shower or storm will continue on Wednesday with highs once again very warm in the mid 80s.  On Thursday, as a cold front will move through the Delaware Valley bringing a better chance of some showers and storms with highs in the low 80s.  Behind the front, lower humidity levels will return on Friday and for the weekend with highs near average in the lower 80s.
