War Veteran's American Flag Returned After Being Stolen On July 4

NORTH WILDWOOD (CBS) -- A war veteran's American flag has been returned after it was stolen from a flag pole outside of a home in North Wildwood on July 4.

The flag was presented to the family of Navy seamen Patrick Corcoran who was killed during the Vietnam War when he was 19. Corcoran's body never made it home but the folded burial flag did.

Corcoran's family had said they just wanted the flag returned and that they would thank whoever returned it -- "no questions asked."

Their wish came true when an unidentified woman returned the flag to a neighbor.

The family said they will not pursue charges.
