Walnut Street Theatre To Undergo $39 Million Expansion Scheduled To Begin In Spring 2020

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia's historic Walnut Street Theatre is expanding. The $39 million project will include a new lobby, education area and a 400-seat theater in the round.

The expansion will also feature a new central stage with six rows along the sides.

Groundbreaking for the project is planned for next spring.

The project is scheduled to be finished in 2022.
