Walking, Fruits and Veggies A Recipe For Good Health

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - I am a big fan of walking. It is not too tough on the joints and it can really help.

Regular activity can help you reach a healthy weight, lower your blood pressure and improve cholesterol levels. The more active you are, the better the benefits.

Research shows that even one hour a week is better for your health than doing nothing. You don't have to slog through an hour-long sweat fest. Start with a 10-minute walk today. Every day, try to walk a little bit longer.

And, if you are looking for the best choices in food this summer, the American Heart Association (AHA) recommends eating four to five servings of fruits and vegetables daily.
