Wagner Free Institute To Host Celebration Of Bones

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Wagner Free Institute of Science in North Philadelphia holds its annual Halloween celebration on Saturday.

The Victorian Natural History Museum is a terrific place to hold a Halloween event. The Wagner's Cara Scharf says the theme for this year's Spooky Creature Feature is "bones."

"We have activities going on throughout the afternoon -- it's from noon to 4 -- so we'll have Halloween themed arts and crafts, and scavenger hunts of our natural history museum, and also presentations of discovering fossils in the Arctic," said Scharf.

When it comes to bones, the Wagner's well stocked.

"We have a big horse skeleton in the center of our collection. We have a human skeleton, monkey skeletons, a sloth skeleton," listed Scharf.

There'll also be some touchable specimens. Scharf says you can come as you are, or in costume. Admission is free.
