Virtua Health Investigating Computer, Phone Outage

PHILADELPHIA (CBS)—Virtua Health facilities is investigating a computer problem on Wednesday night.

Police in Burlington County say Virtua's computers and phones were shutdown Wednesday night but hospitals were still accepting patients.

There are three hospitals in the area:

Virtua Voorhees Hospital
Virtua Memorial Hospital
Virtua Marlton Hospital

Camden County Police previously told CBS3 the hospitals were not accepting any more patients into their facilities but were not moving any patients.

It's unknown at this time what caused the outage.

The system was back up and running Thursday.

There was a very brief computer power outage, during which time patient care was not impacted. All systems are up and running. Thank you.
