Viewing Held For Fallen Philadelphia Firefighter Joyce Craig

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Thousands waited in the cold for hours Friday night, just to get a chance to pay a final tribute to Philadelphia's first female firefighter killed in the line of duty earlier this week.
A seemingly endless line of men and women in uniform spanned a massive section of Broad Street for hours on end, waiting to say goodbye to the city's first fallen female firefighter, Joyce Craig. Some shedding tears, others offer condolences to their comrades.
"Each day that goes by is a little harder in the beginning, and hopefully each day after that gets a little bit easier," said Philadelphia Fire Commissioner Derrick Sawyer.
Among the representatives of police and fire departments from near and far, was Eagles' Head Coach Chip Kelly, who quietly stopped in to pay his respects.
Another viewing and service will be held for Joyce Craig in the morning, before internment at Ivy Hill Cemetery.
The Firefighters Union has established a memorial fund for Craig's two children.
Donations can be made payable to: "Local 22 Joyce Craig Memorial Fund" and mailed to the Police and Fire Credit Union at 901 Arch St., Philadelphia, PA 19107.
