Vandals Cause Hundreds Of Dollars In Damage To Little League Complex In Delaware

WILMINGTON, Del. (CBS) -- Police are searching for the vandals who caused hundreds of dollars in damage to a little league baseball complex in Delaware.

The incident happened Thursday at the Naamans Little League baseball complex on Concord Pike in Wilmington.

According to the Delaware State Police, the investigation began when Troopers responded to Mt. Lebanon Road for the report of a riding lawnmower, which had been abandoned in the roadway.

After finding the lawnmower, Troopers checked the surrounding area and discovered that it had been removed from a shed located on the grounds of the Naamans Little League complex.

Troopers also discovered that multiple sheds on the property had been burglarized.

Delaware State Police said the vandals removed food items from the sheds and scattered them throughout the complex.

In addition, the suspects also caused approximately $500 in damage to windows, lights and shed walls.
