United States' First Adult Toy Vending Machine Coming To Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Looking to do something different tonight?
Underground Arts in Philadelphia will be the host site for the launch of the first adult toy vending machine, from Pinkbox.
The owners of the machine are Dean Kitagawa and Vaughn Sandman. Along with resident sexpert and chief communication officer, Timaree Schmit, they will be part of the launch party Thursday night.
Schmit says, "Our goal is to make it even more convenient for people to access pleasure and build intimacy. We are able to keep costs lower than a brick and mortar store but there's no wait for shipping like online shopping. It's an easy, fun and discrete way to try something new or add to a collection."
She adds, "Based on our research, we are the first sex toy vending machine company in the nation. Some exist in Japan and Scandinavia, but we're the first to try it here."
The launch party is being held Thursday night and is free after 10 p.m.
