Union Welcome Columbus To Chester Tonight

By Matt Leon

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- This is a busy stretch for the Philadelphia Union.

This past Saturday, Philadelphia lost a heartbreaker on the road to D.C. United, 2-1, falling on a late penalty kick. This coming Saturday the Union welcome NYCFC to Chester.

In the midst of all that is tonight's match as the Columbus Crew come to town.

Despite the loss last time out, Philadelphia is playing better soccer these days. Prior to Saturday they had won back-to-back games against D.C. and New York Red Bulls. Overall, Philadelphia sits at 3-8-3 this season.

Columbus is 4-4-4 and the Crew dominated the first meeting between these two sides this season, winning 4-1, in Ohio, back on April 25th. Eric Ayuk Mbu scored the lone goal for Philadelphia in that loss.

Last time out on Saturday, the Crew played Orlando City to a 2-2 draw.

KYW's Matt Leon spoke with Eli Pearlman-Storch of the Philly Soccer Page to preview tonight's match and talk about Philadelphia improved play as of late.
