Union Give Up Late PK, Forced Into 3-3 Draw With Whitecaps

CHESTER, Pa. (AP) — Pedro Morales scored his team-best sixth goal on a penalty kick in the 81st minute and the Vancouver Whitecaps stretched their unbeaten streak to seven with a 3-3 draw against the Philadelphia Union on Saturday.

Conor Casey scored twice and Sebastien Le Toux added a goal for the Union, who scored three times in an eight-minute span of the second half to take a 3-2 lead.

Casey has four goals in the last two games for the Union (3-7-6).

Erik Hurtado scored in the 18th minute and Nicolas Mezquida added a goal in the 42nd to give the Whitecaps a 2-0 lead.

Vancouver improved to 5-2-6 overall and 3-0-4 in its last seven games. The Whitecaps are 2-1-4 on the road, the third-best mark in the league.
