Underground Explosion Halts Traffic Near 30th Street Station

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Officials are currently at the scene of an underground explosion at 30th and Market street near 30th street station.

The explosion happened at approximately 1:08 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

So far, no injuries have been reported.

The situation has been placed under control and service has been restored to both SEPTA and Amtrak trains.

There is no word as to what caused the explosion.

Due to police activity there is limited access to 30th street station. Buses 9, 31, 44, 124, 125 are being re-routed.
