Umpire Joe West Suspended One Game For Papelbon Altercation

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- Major League Baseball has suspended umpire Joe West one game without pay for grabbing Jonathan Papelbon's jersey during an altercation on Sunday at Citizens Bank Park.

Papelbon was suspended seven games for grabbing his crotch area, a gesture that he made while walking towards the dugout as fans booed him for blowing a save. West, the second-base umpire saw the lewd gesture, and ejected Papelbon who angrily returned to the field to argue the call.
