Tyler Matakevich Wins Chuck Bednarik Award As Nation's Top Defender
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Temple linebacker Tyler Matakevich was named the winner of the Maxwell Club's Chuck Bednarik Award on Thursday night. The award is given to the nation's top defensive player.

The award comes after Matakevich's fourth straight 100+ tackle season and the Temple senior has been a catalyst to the sucess that the team is experiencing this season. The award continues the string of accolades for Matakevich this year.
