Three Police Officers Injured In Crash In West Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A chain reaction crash involving an SUV and two parked Philadelphia police vehicles has left three officers injured and a man facing DUI charges.

It happened just before 4:30 a.m. Sunday at 52nd and Chestnut Streets.

Investigators say a 2001 Lincoln Navigator slammed into the back of a parked police wagon, which then rammed into a parked patrol car.

Police say two officers in the wagon, and one officer in the car were taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Authorities say the 58-year-old man driving the SUV was hospitalized for pain as well and he will be charged with DUI and related offenses.
