Two People Injured After Cars Collide In West Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Two people were injured after a crash in West Philadelphia early Sunday morning.

It happened around 5 a.m. at the intersection of 52nd and Walnut Streets.

Police say two cars collided, knocking over a light pole. One of the vehicles slammed into a drug store on the corner. The other car came to a stop on the sidewalk down the street.

Two people were rushed to Presbyterian Hospital. There was no initial word on their conditions.

Walnut Street was closed in the area due to the crash.
