Firefighter, Resident Injured In Northeast Philly House Fire

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Two people, including a firefighter, were injured overnight after fire ripped through a home in Northeast Philadelphia.

Flames broke out around 1:30 a.m. Monday at the home in the 3500 block of Brookview Road in the city's Millbrook neighborhood.

Authorities say it took about an hour to place the blaze under control.

One firefighter and one resident were taken to the hospital with smoke inhalation. Officials say both are in stable condition.

The American Red Cross is assisting two adults and two children displaced by the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
