Two Dead, One Wounded In Separate Shootings In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Two people are dead and one is hospitalized after a pair of shootings in Philadelphia overnight.

The first incident took place around 3 a.m. Sunday in the 4900 block of Old York Road in the Logan section of the city.

Police say a man in his late 20s or early 30s was shot in the back inside of a store. The man was taken to Albert Einstein Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

A short time later, police say there was a double shooting along the 3500 block of Wharton Street in Grays Ferry.

Authorities say a 28-year-old man was shot four times. He was rushed to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he later died. A 27-year-old man was also struck by the gunfire. He was also taken to HUP where he was listed in stable condition.

There have been no arrests in either incident.
