Twitter Reacts After Aretha Franklin Sings 'Extended' National Anthem At Lions Game
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- For most people, Thanksgiving is spent with family and friends, sharing food while watching football. On Thursday, Detroit native Aretha Franklin kicked off the Lions vs. Vikings game on CBS with her pipes, singing the National Anthem.
She enjoyed the spotlight too, singing for over five minutes. Shortly after she finished, Twitter didn't seem to mind the delay of game...
Thankful Aretha Franklin doesn't sing the Anthem when I pitch, pretty sure I would have to go back to the pen and warm back up #pipesthough

Aretha Franklin is pretty far up at the top of the list of folks who can take however long they want with the national anthem.

Aretha Franklin is doing a ball-control national anthem. It's all about clock management everyone.
