Twitter Beef: Republican Presidential Candidate John Kasich Vs. 76ers
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Only on Twitter would a professional basketball team and a presidential candidate take jabs at each other.
Republic presidential candidate John Kasich, speaking in Manchester, New Hampshire on Friday, said he saw the Philadelphia 76ers at his hotel. The Sixers are playing in Boston against the Celtics on Friday night.
"The reason why some of them make a lot of money is because they have skills," Kasich said. "Not too many Sixers have had that many skills lately, but they do."
The Sixers came back at Kasich via Twitter posting, "At least we win more than 2% of the time," referring to Kasich's performance in the polls. However, the team has since deleted their tweet.
Later in the afternoon, Kasich, a Pennsylvania native and the 69th Governor of Ohio, posted THIS.
Just getting warmed up. 3pts cc @Sixers (don't delete this) Great young team ???? pic.twitter.com/BnAiXqzVUM

If nothing else, Kasich earned a bit of respect for his Twitter humor.
