Truck Narrowly Averts Head-On Crash With Car on Rt. 206 in NJ Pinelands

SHAMONG, N.J. (CBS) -- New Jersey state police are investigating a collision in Shamong Township (Burlington County) this afternoon that was nearly a head-on fatality.
It happened just after noon on Route 206 at Atsion Lake, on the Burlington County-Atlantic County border.
State police say a vehicle was driving north on Route 206 , when it drifted into the southbound lane. The approaching tractor-trailer saw the vehicle and swerved to avoid it. The vehicle was sideswiped and went into the trees.
The woman driving the vehicle was airlifted to Cooper Trauma Center. Troopers say it appears her injuries are non-life threatening.
