Truck Crashes, Spilling Twizzlers Onto Pennsylvania Highway

BELLE VERNON, Pa. (AP) -- A tractor-trailer split open after hitting a barrier, spilling Twizzlers candy onto a Pennsylvania highway.

State police say the truck crashed around 11:40 p.m. Wednesday near the Fayette City exit on Interstate 70 in Rostraver.

Hundreds of boxes and loose packages of the strawberry and licorice flavored twists covered the roadway.

Officials say fog may have contributed to the crash. No serious injuries were reported.

Rostraver is about 25 miles south of Pittsburgh.
