Teen Killed, Another Critically Injured In Chester Shooting

CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) -- A teenager is dead and another was seriously wounded in a shooting outside a corner store in Chester, Delaware County.

It happened around 8 p.m. Saturday in the 1100 block of Pine Lane.

Police say an unidentified gunman opened fire outside of the store, striking a 14-year-old and a 16-year-old.

Both teens were rushed to Crozier Chester Medical Center where the 14-year-old was later pronounced dead. The 16-year-old victim was listed in critical condition.

Authorities say a third victim, a 32-year-old woman, was also struck and arrived at the hospital later with a shoulder injury. She was listed in stable condition.

Investigators found dozens of shell casings at the scene and a bullet riddled SUV nearby.

There was no word on what lead to the shooting.

The city of Chester has offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect or suspects.
