Travis Manion Foundation President To Attend State Of The Union

WASHINGTON (CBS) -- The sister of Travis Manion and the President of the foundation that bears his name will attend President Barack Obama's State of the Union address tonight.

Travis Manion Foundation President Ryan Manion-Borek will attend the State of the Union as a guest of congressman Mike Fitzpatrick.

"Nights like this are super important. It's super-important to make sure that were getting behind the one percent that serves this country every day."

Travis Manion was killed in Iraq in 2007 on his second deployment to Iraq, his mother Janet started the foundation before her death.

Manion-Borek says she hopes to hear President Obama discuss improving services for veterans and veterans' families.

"There's a lot that's being done for our veteran community for our military serving overseas that are active and our returning veterans, I also think there's a lot that can be done."
