Travelers Explore PA Convention Center During Annual Showcase

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- From Atlantic City to Kathmandu, there was a little something for everyone at this year's second annual travel and adventure show. Tour operator Rajan Kapri says tourism took a hit following last year's earthquake; as a result, a boost in the economy is needed.

"If you spend one week holiday in Nepal, that will go to help improve the poor people of the mountain which really suffer(ed) by the earthquake," Kapri said.

Lil Gunning of the National Park of New jersey rode a camel at the show. She joked she can now check that off her bucket list, but she said she was really there on Saturday to look into an African safari trip. Tourism folks from Atlantic City were also there handing out salt water taffy while getting the word out about the destinations at AC.
