Crashes, Wet Roads Plaguing Philadelphia Area On Tuesday Commute

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Numerous traffic issues are hitting the Philadelphia area Tuesday morning as commuters navigate wet roads. There are currently four significant incidents in the region.

PENNSYLVANIA

A multi-vehicle crash on the Vine's westbound ramp onto the Schuylkill is causing backups.

A crash in Philadelphia is blocking the left lane on Interstate 95 just south of Vine.

Just before 6:30 a.m., crews started working a crash coming off the Walt Whitman Bridge. The accident is blocking two lanes on Interstate 76 eastbound at I-676.

In Chester County, the RT 30 westbound ramp to Lancaster Avenue is blocked in the left lane due to an accident.

 

NEW JERSEY

A crash on Interstate 295 northbound is causing a 10 to 15 minute backup. This is near RT 73 in Mount Laurel Township.

In New Jersey, a jackknifed tractor-trailer on the New Jersey Turnpike is blocking two southbound lanes. Those delays are between Burlington-Mt. Holly Road and RT-73. Injuries are reported.

 

All lanes on RT-30 eastbound in Pennsauken Township are closed and detoured. This is near Baird Boulevard.

DELAWARE

Wilmington drivers are also getting their own delays on Interstate 495 southbound. A spinout is restricting lanes near 12th Street.
