3 Injured In Multi-Vehicle Accident On I-95 In Newark

NEWARK, Del. (CBS) - Three people were injured in a multi-vehicle accident involving a tractor-trailer on I-95 in Newark on Monday morning. The accident happened on the southbound lanes of I-95, south of the toll plaza, in the area of the Otts Chapel Road overpass, just before 10 a.m.

The road was shutdown for several hours before it reopened around 3:30 p.m.

Two people suffered minor injuries while one driver was transported to Christiana Hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of a box truck was charged with inattentive driving and failure to have an insurance card in possession.
