Tractor Trailer Accident On New Jersey Turnpike Closes Northbound Lanes

WOOLWHICH TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) --- The Northbound lanes of the New Jersey Turnpike were closed in South Jersey early Tuesday morning following an early morning accident in Woolwhich Township.

The crash involving 2-tractor trailers, a tour bus and a car happened around 3:30am between exits 1 and 2 on the NJTP, and led to large fire fueled by paint and auto parts on one of the tractor trailers.

The tour bus was not carrying any passengers at the time of the crash. New Jersey State Police say only minor injuries were suffered.

The Southbound New Jersey Turnpike is not affected. The Traffic Center says 295 NB is the alternate in between exits 1 and 2.
