PHS Pop-up Garden Opens


5 p.m. – midnight, Pay as you go

The much-anticipated returns of the PHS Pop-up Beer Garden is finally here! Head over today for inaugural bites and brews (and cocktails and wine!) in a formerly vacant lot on South Street now through early fall.

Science After Hours: Neuro Night At The Museum: Grey Matter


6:30 – 9:30 p.m.; $15 for non-members, $10 for members

Explore the Franklin Institute's new exhibit, "Your Brain," during its awesome after-hours program. The adults-only event will let visitors explore the seven-gallery exhibit and learn about the brain and nervous system, all while sipping on beer, wine and cocktails from a cash bar. And for the kid in you, games and prizes are also on the schedule.

Ommegang Brewery's Hop Chef Competition


7 p.m., $41

Some of Philly's best chefs face off at this annual taste-testing event, which also includes beer pairings from New York's beloved Ommegang Brewery. Participants include the likes of Jeremy Nolen of Brauhaus Schmitz and Jonathan and Justin Petruce of Petruce et al, and one lucky winner will get to travel to Cooperstown, NY to compete against Hop Chef winners from across the U.S.
