Manayunk Solstice Fire


5 – 6 p.m., FREE

Go pagan at Manayunk's Winter Solstice event. Although the official first day of winter (and shortest day of the year!) isn't until Sunday, this ceremonial bonfire – complete with wishing sticks and a birds of prey show – is taking place tonight.

6 – 8 p.m., FREE

It's been 237 years since George Washington's historic march to Valley Forge, and the park is celebrating the momentous event with special nighttime activities. Join American history buffs for a guided tour – by candlelight! – as well as 18th century music, refreshments and storytelling.
