Bistro Romano is Society Hill's answer to all things romantic, charming and historic. With its rustic décor, brick walls and upstairs bar taken from an old luxury liner built in the early 20th century, Bistro Romano is a true treasure to the city. Enjoy a romantic dinner of old-school Italian food in the underground wine cellar (and formerly a part of the underground railroad) or head to the piano bar on the weekends to listen to resident piano player Craig Satchell. Performing at Bistro Romano's piano bar every Friday and Saturday night for the last 16 years, his show embraces many different genres – pop, rock, Broadway tunes, Motown – you name it, he'll play it (really – he takes requests).

Duel Piano Bar
1420 Locust St.
Philadelphia, PA 19102
(267) 687-1161
www.duelpianobar.com

Formerly Jolly's Piano Bar, Duel Piano Bar is one of the only dueling piano bars in Philadelphia entertaining guests every Wednesday through Saturday night. As an interactive and lively night out, the audience chooses which songs are played and the "duel" is usually between audience members based on the amount of tip they provide with their request. The larger tipper gets their song played first and – if you're picky with the songs you listen to – you can stop the un-liked song with a higher tip. But be warned: the song can be played again if the original requestee ups your tip.
