5 Most Concerning Philly Sports Figures
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) --- It's May, the heart of the calendar year for sports fans. In Philly, the heart of our sports teams is barely beating.
The Wells Fargo Center is abandoned as the NBA and NHL Playoffs continue throughout the spring, the electricity surrounding Citizens Bank Park and the 10-17 last placed Phillies is non-existent, and the Eagles' 2015 season seemingly rides on the arm---or should I say leg---of Sam Bradford after Marcus Mariota officially became a Tennessee Titan.
Still, there is hope things get turned around in the next coming months and the Philadelphia sports scene brightens up. For that to happen, however, certain athletes most perform.
Here are the five most concerning Philadelphia sports figures (note: Ruben Amaro Jr. broke the concern scale, so we left him off).
5. Chip Kelly
Kelly is arguably the most polarizing figure in sports and unarguably the most polarizing figure in Philly. In his first offseason with complete GM power, Kelly traded Nick Foles and LeSean McCoy and let Jeremy Maclin go to Kansas City, earning himself a renegade-type reputation. Many fans have no idea what to expect with Kelly, and that's make some people in this city concerned.
It also makes some people excited.

4. Joel Embiid
Joel Embiid will make his NBA debut this fall for the Sixers. While all signs point to Embiid blossoming into the city's next mega star, you just never know, especially with big man coming off an injury (see: Bynum, Andrew).

3. Chase Utley
Utley is hitting just .103 after the first 25 games of the season. However, he's 36-years-old and his career is winding down. The problem is, if Utley reaches the 500 at-bat plateau his $15 million option for 2016 will vest and that, my friends, is concerning.

2. Cole Hamels
Hamels is the Phillies' biggest trade piece. Essentially, he's our last hope for a top-level prospect to help expedite this rebuild. Unfortunately, Hamels is 1-3 with a 4.14 ERA through six starts this season. Yikes.
The Phils should be able to get a significant return for the valuable left-handed ace near the trade deadline, but his production needs to improve.

1. Sam Bradford
Bradford has played just seven games over the last two years. In that same amount of time, he's torn his ACL twice. Now, he is presumably the guy that will lead the Eagles, gulp, to the, gulp, Super, gulp, Bowl.
Oh brother.
