Perfect for children aged 3 months to 4 years, head to the Children's Boutique for Music Monkey Jungle's interactive performances. Held weekday mornings, Music Monkey Jungle shows include high-energy original songs, dances, sing-alongs and games. The shows start at 10:30 a.m. It costs $8 per child and there's no need to sign up beforehand – it's drop-in only.

The family series at the Kimmel Center continues the Philadelphia Orchestra's tradition of inspiring and teaching kids about orchestral music. The remaining concerts in the series include a performance of Dr. Seuss's "The Sneetches" with music, rhymes and illustrations accompanying the orchestra, an interactive "Make Your Own Musical Adventure" where the audience decides on the music and storyline, and a showing of "Peter and the Wolf." Come in before the concert at 10 a.m. for a Pre-Concert Adventure, an interactive experience that'll teach your kids about the music and instruments they're about to hear.

"Sesame Street Live: Make a New Friend" is coming to Philadelphia this April. The popular series is perfect for kids and teaches valuable life lessons through song, dance and, of course, sharing cookies. This new storyline instills the value of friendship in children and shows how all people are special, no matter their background. Come see all your favorite characters like Elmo, Big Bird, Grover, etc. and welcome a new friend to Sesame Street named Chamki, who hails from India.

Sound All Around concerts are for ages 3 to 5 and take place at the Academy of Music. Sound All Around features members of the Philadelphia orchestra and storyteller Charlotte Blake Alston. Each concert concentrates on a string, woodwind, brass or percussion instrument and the children sing, dance, hear stories with the music and examine and pretend to play an instrument. The final concert is on May 2 and May 4 and features an entire ensemble of the musicians previously introduced during the season.

World Café Live presents Peanut Butter & Jams, an entertaining, educational and interactive live show for both kids and parents, every Saturday morning. The concerts feature a wide range of genres from folk to jazz to rock. Upcoming performances include Stevesongs, Uno, Dos, Tres con Andres (the band teaches kids Spanish and Latin American culture) and Jazzy Ash. The music encourages kids and parents to dance and stick around after the show for a family-friendly buffet.
