Ticket Resellers Already Listing SEPTA 'Pope Passes' Online

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Regional rail passes for the weekend of the Papal visit are already up for sale on Craigslist and eBay, even though the sellers don't have the actual tickets in hand yet.

SETPA began notifying winners of the regional rail pass lottery by email Thursday by sending them a link to a website where they could purchase up to ten passes each for the Saturday and Sunday of the event weekend.

The passes are being mailed to buyers, so no one actually has them yet, but that's not stopping ticket resellers.

In one Craigslist ad posted Thursday evening, a single seller claims to have 30 passes he's selling for $35 each. SEPTA is only charging $10 each.

Multiple listings on eBay price the passes between $30 and $2,000 apiece.
