PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The 2015 Philadelphia Auto Show opened its doors to the public Saturday, drawing thousands of car enthusiasts to the Convention Center.

From classics to sports cars to vehicles of the future, there's something for everyone.

"What's cool about the show is from pickup trucks to classics to exotics to Lexus's to everything is here at the show and you'll see a great amount of people coming in here," explains Kevin Mazzucola -- executive director of the Philadelphia Auto Show.

There is only one concept car this year's show and it is the Buick Avenir --  which can wirelessly charge a  mobile device.

Many vehicles that are currently available on the market are packed with technology and safety features like Wifi, stability control, traction control, back up cameras and a lane departure alert where your seat vibrates when you are about to cross the line.

"They are willing to pay more to get that technology," says Mazzucola. "I've seen some studies up to $1,500 for extra things they can package up for the technology."

Carl Fleshman of Brewerytown was walking around with his little son and says this technology is a plus:

"Safety is always an issue whether it for me or my child."

People were also getting behind the wheel and looking under the hood, doing their research on vehicles they are considering buying while others were simply dreaming.

"I'm a big car man and I'm a big luxury BMW/Porsche type of guy," this man said.

You can'y buy off the show floor, but you can get a sense of what you want to drive.

Many say they like going to this show because there aren't high-pressure salespeople breathing down their necks.

The Auto Show is in town until February 8th. For more information, CLICK HERE.
