Thousands Line Parkway For Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Thousands started their holiday Thursday at the 95th annual Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade, the oldest in the country.
For many, this parade along the Ben Franklin Parkway is tradition with a capital 'T.'
"I just turned 56 on Tuesday. I've been coming since I think I was like eight-years-old."
"Oh we've been coming for 35 years."
"We've been doing this for probably about 15 years now and every year it gets a little bit bigger. More kids, more fun, more hot chocolate. It's all good."
It was a chilly start to the day, but the crowd warmed up when they got to see some of their favorites...
"Mickey and Minnie"
"Watching the princesses go by."
"I like the bands, especially when they come from out of town. It's nice they come into Philly, hopefully enjoy Philadelphia."
All the excitement building up to the big dinner.
"Well we have to go home and cook it. Finish cooking it."
The nearly 1.5 mile long parade began at 20th and JFK Boulevard and ended at the Philadelphia Art Museum.
