Warmer With Some Showers This Week

By Justin Drabick

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The pleasant weather from the Easter weekend has stretched into the work week. Sunshine and light winds allowed for stellar weather today with highs back a few degrees above average in the upper 60s to around 70. There will be no frost advisory tonight as southerly winds and more clouds will keep temperatures milder in the 40s.

Our next storm will be in the form of a cold front that will impact us later on Tuesday. Ahead of the front, stronger southerly winds will bring in warmer air with highs reaching the low 70s on Tuesday.

There will be sunshine to start the day with more clouds increasing through the afternoon. As the front approaches, expect showers to arrive late afternoon/early evening and end before midnight.

Behind the front, a brief shot of cooler air returns for Wednesday. It will be breezy with sunshine and highs back below average in the lower 60s. Another warming trend will then return late week with more 70s on Friday.
