Thieves Swipe ATM From West Philly Gas Station

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police are investigating the theft of an ATM from a gas station early Monday morning.

The theft happened at about 4:30 a.m. at the BP Gas Station located at Walnut Street and Cobbs Creek Parkway in West Philadelphia.

According to investigators, two suspects entered the business and somehow removed an ATM. The thieves then walked out of the store and placed the ATM into a getaway car and drove off.

It was not immediately known how much cash was in the ATM.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
