Testimony Continues In Trial Over Death Of Temple Student

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Testimony continues in the trial of a man accused in the shooting death of a Temple University student last year.

The jury heard Thursday from Abigal Osei-Tutu and her boyfriend Daniel Boatae. Tutu shared a two bedroom apartment with 21-year-old Agatha Hall and was in the other room the night Hall was shot and killed inside her bedroom.

Though neither saw what happened, both testified they heard Hall's boyfriend, Brandon Meade, banging on her bedroom door, ordering her to open up so he could retrieve his gun he'd left. Then seconds later, a gunshot.

The couple said that Meade ran into their room, hysterical and screaming "Why did she do that?"

The death was initially ruled a suicide. But days later, Tutu and Boatae went back to police and gave new information expressing suspicions about Meade's behavior, and things he said that fateful night.

Prosecutors contend that Meade shot Hall, then attempted to cover up his actions by making it look like a suicide.
