Temple University Students Hold 'Die-in' Protest In Response To Grand Jury Decisions

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Temple University students used their lunch hour to protest two recent grand jury decisions.
About 200 students marched through campus streets shouting and holding their hands in the air.
At one point, the large group fell to the ground to simulate death.
"This is not going to end today," said Temple student Michael Larmond.
Larmond joined his fellow students for what many have been calling a "die-in." He says recent grand jury decisions not to indict officers Darren Wilson in Missouri and Daniel Pantaleo in New York are just a few of many examples.
A grand jury cleared Pantaleo in the July death of Eric Garner, prompting massive protests across the country.
"People aren't going to be quiet anymore. This is a different era," Larmond said.
Eyewitness News checked with Temple University and no students were arrested in the demonstrations on Thursday.
A campus spokesman called the demonstrations "peaceful."
