Temple Stomps Tulane 55-37

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Quenton DeCosey scored 17 and Temple held Tulane to a historically low eight first-half points on the way to a 55-37 victory on Saturday.

Temple (15-7, 6-3 American) opened the game with a 12-0 run and led 28-8 at the intermission.

The eight points were the fewest Temple has ever allowed in a half at Liacouras Center and the least Tulane (13-9, 4-6) has recorded in the shot-clock era.

Will Cummings added 13 points, six rebounds and six assists, and Obi Enechionyia had 12 points and three blocks for the Owls.

Tulane shot 3 of 24 in the first half and fell behind 33-8 early in the second before scoring 12 straight to pull within 33-20 with 14:13 left. Temple responded with a 6-0 run and led by no less than 14 the rest of the way.

Louis Dabney led the Green Wave with 10 points.
