Temple Moves Up In National Polls Ahead Of Game With Notre Dame

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Temple football is continuing it's march up the college football rankings and this week, the team has the opportunity to make a statement that could be a program defining one.

The Owls are now 7-0 following Thursday night's win over ECU. Temple entered that game ranked No. 22 in the AP Poll and No. 24 in the Coaches Poll.

On Sunday, the Owls moved up one spot to No. 21 in the AP Poll and up two spots to No. 22 in the Coaches Poll.

The 7-0 start is the best in program history and the Owls could take things a step further on Halloween night when they take on Notre Dame (#9/#9) at Lincoln Financial Field. The game will be nationally televised as the Owls look to go 8-0 against one of the sport's most storied programs.
