Temple Makes 10 3-Pointers In 86-62 Win Over UCF

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Jesse Morgan scored 15 points and Temple sank 10 3-pointers in taking an 86-62 victory over UCF on Wednesday night.

Will Cummings and Devin Coleman each scored 14 points and Quenton DeCosey added 13 for the Owls (14-7, 5-3 American Athletic), who came into the game last in the conference in field-goal percentage at 37.7 percent but made 33 of 65 shots for 50.8 percent against the Knights. The Owls hit 10 of 18 from beyond the arc with Morgan and DeCosey each making a trio of 3-pointers. The Owls finished with their highest point total of the season.

Brandon Goodwin scored 17 points and Daiquan Walker 14 for the Knights (9-11, 2-7), who have lost four straight. UCF committed 16 turnovers.

The Owls, who beat the Knights by six on Jan. 4, had a 37-18 lead by halftime on Wednesday and were up 36 with 9:03 left remaining.
