2 Teens Charged In Connection With 13-Year-Old's Shooting Death In Germantown

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police say a 15-year-old turned himself in to police Wednesday night in connection with the shooting death of a 13-year-old boy in Germantown. They add that a 17-year-old is also in custody in connection to the incident.

The victim was found on the 5300 block of E. Walnut Lane.  Police say that several juveniles were playing with a gun in the backyard of the property when the teenage boy was shot in the face.

Authorities say the 15-year-old was brought in by a family member.

Police say that the 15-year-old boy has been charged with involuntary manslaughter. They add that the 17-year-old has been charged with recklessly endangering another person as authorities say the teen loaded and played with the gun.
