Teen Riding Bike in Northeast Philly Struck, Critical

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A teenager is in critical condition after he was struck by a car while riding his bike on the Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia late Saturday night.

This happened around 11:15 p.m. in the Northbound lanes near Levick Street.

The 17-year-old was taken to Saint Christopher's Hospital where he remains in critical condition.

The driver of the striking vehicle did remain on the scene. There's no word yet what caused the crash or if alcohol was involved.

An investigation is ongoing.
