Teen Dies After Falling From Top Of Moving Vehicle In Northeast Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Police say a 16-year-old boy has died after falling from the roof of moving vehicle in Northeast Philadelphia -- and now police are searching for the driver of the car.

Authorities say the teen was seen climbing on top of a small white car that was stopped in the 3200 block of Levick Street late Friday night in the city's Mayfair neighborhood.

The car drove off with the teen still on top of the car. Police say the teen managed to hang on for a few blocks but then fell from the vehicle.

The driver did not stop.

The teen was rushed to Aria Frankford Hospital where he died from his injuries on Saturday afternoon.
