Scientist Names New Species Of Millipede After Taylor Swift

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- A scientist is honoring Taylor Swift in a unique way -- naming a new species after her. It's a newly discovered millipede.

The bug has dozens of legs and is officially titled the "Swift Twisted-Claw Millipede."

Derek Hennen, a Virginia Tech researcher, says listening to Swift's music got him through grad school so he felt it was appropriate to name his discovery after her.

There's no word from T-Swift just yet.
