Suspects Charged In Alleged 'Tattoo Attack' Inside Mayfair Home

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia police have officially charged four suspects for allegedly holding a man captive and tattooing him with racial and sexual terms and images inside a Northeast Philadelphia home.

Corry Campbell, 20; Sandra Ng, 19; Jennifer Pratt, 29 and David Thomas, 27, are all facing several charges.

The incident began when the 52-year-old victim called 911 at about 9 a.m. on Tuesday. (See Related Story)

The victim told investigators he was held captive in the basement of a home in the 3100 block of Brighton Street. The victim shared the residence with the suspects.

According to the victim, from about 3 p.m. on March 30th until 9 a.m. on April 1st, he was held against his will and was assaulted and tattooed by three of the suspects.

Police say the tattoos, nearly a dozen in all, fully covered the lower part of the man's arms. They included obscene images and racial slurs, according to investigators.

The victim showed police severely bruised and swollen hands, bruised eyes, along with bruising to his legs, ribs and torso.

The victim told police he escaped from the home when the suspects fell asleep on the morning of April 1st.

Officers went to the home and found the suspects asleep inside the home.

The suspects are facing charges of Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Possessing An Instrument of Crime, Unlawful Restraint, Kidnapping, Theft, Robbery and Conspiracy.

A search warrant was executed at the home and investigators say they found 155 grams of marijuana, various tattoo ink bottles, a tattoo station and various tattoo paraphernalia items, including tattoo needles and a tattoo gun.

The victim was taken to Aria Health Torresdale Hospital for treatment.

The motive for the alleged attack remains unknown.
